What I am calling Traditional web site are basic HTML (HyperText Markup Language) site which are often enhanced using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), JavaScript, Flash or other code embedded into the HTML to give the site some pizzazz. Some sites could be considered Flash sites but even that code is within the HTML framework for the internet.

All of the usual design concepts still apply. That is the site should be clear, attractive, easy to navigate, engaging, etc. If the site is part of you’re marketing there are other considerations that sometimes change as the search engine algorithms change. That is more in the field of marketing though. Having an experienced website team working for you is a nice advantage.

The above examples include: A slider book list linking the pages about each book for Derek Flower’s site; A flash intro CS logo for Christine Sargent’s site; A method of changing images and text on George Collins’ home page; A complete flash site with an intro and a site that allows a viewer to hear many samples of the artist audio skills for Alex Wilkinson’s site; And, another complete flash site for Angeles Crest Art Guild.

CLICK ON SOME OF THE SITES IN THE SLIDER ABOVE TO SEE HOW THEY WORK.
